In 1989, I received the title of Associate Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. For the first time in our country, I had the honor of being an Associate Professor with researches on Acupuncture among his publications. In 1989, we organized the 1st National Acupuncture Congress with International Participation in Istanbul together with the Istanbul Acupuncture Association.
In 1996, our Acupuncture Association was officially invited by the Rectorate of Trakya University to give an Acupuncture Training and Practice Course. This event was a first in our country. We gave courses to 25 medical doctors for 420 hours. All of these trainees were directly given an 'Acupuncture Practice Certificate' by our Ministry of Health. This honor was bestowed on our association. It is also a great source of pride for me to have contributed to the preparation and implementation of the scientific program of this study.
In 1995, we organized the 'WFAS' International Acupuncture Congress in Istanbul under the auspices of our late President, Mr. Süleyman Demirel. In this congress, we hosted more than 300 foreign scientists.
In 1997, we organized Acupuncture seminars within the Vatan Hospitals group. In these courses, we had the honor of teaching this magnificent science to more than a hundred colleagues. We tried to enlighten our people through the media. In the first years, there was intense opposition in our Universities. Today, training birds are held in many universities.
In 1998, Prof. Dr. Under the leadership of Kaya Özkuş, the 'Acupuncture Training and Practice' course was opened at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. Later, courses were opened at Ankara Gazi University. The peculiarity of these courses was that they were held jointly with the Ministry of Health and that the participants were given application certificates.
In 2006, 'Acupuncture Education and Practice courses' were opened within the body of Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine. I was the scientific coordinator of these courses. By working personally in 9 courses, I contributed to the education of approximately 300 fellow physicians.
Between 2007 and 2012, I was a member of the Ministry of Health Acupuncture Scientific Board. This committee served as a scientific advisor to the Ministry on Acupuncture-related issues in our country.
In 2007, I published my book, 'Obesity and Its Treatment with Acupuncture'.
In 2010, I chaired the 6th National Acupuncture Congress with International Participation held in Istanbul Dedeman Hotel.
I attended the 'Acupuncture Education and Practice' course programs of Ankara Gazi University, Erzurum Atatürk University, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Kayseri Training and Research Hospital and Istanbul Medipol University as a teacher.
Until today, I have tried to enlighten the public by participating in different television and radio programs. Nearly 100 of my articles were published in the print media.
